Dee and Colleen went to work again on
Saturday. We stayed to do some more unpacking, laundry, and odd jobs for Dee.
We have been having problems with the automatic transmission on the camper, so
we spent some time looking for a service shop that could deal with a Dodge. We
finally found one, the mechanic checked and added transmission fluid and didn’t
charge us anything. Only in Florida!
We spent the late afternoon and
evening back in Clearwater with Hildie and her friend, Marie. The park across
from her condo was hosting the Clearwater Jazz Holiday with music and lots of
food booths. We left Mickey in the camper in our familiar parking spot and
spent several hours at the festival. It ended with fireworks. We went back to
the condo and sat by the pool to watch them. It was quite spectacular – Hildie
had chosen the spot where the fireworks were directly overhead and as close as
I have ever seen them. We went back to Port Richey to stay at Dee’s.
Colleen went home on Saturday night and
Dee decided not to go into work on Sunday. So, we had a lovely last day together. We went
to her church in Lutz for 10:30 mass. Dee played flute, I sang, and Don
listened! Then we had breakfast at IHOP, toured some more of Dee’s favorite
haunts, went shopping, and finished with some more unpacking. We went to a
Mexican restaurant that was new to Dee, for dinner. She has a whole new
neighborhood to explore and get used to. When her office moves to the new
location, she will be about 15 minutes from work, right now she is almost an
hour from work.
